What a Thrilling Time I'm Having!

Santa agreed I can change jobs and I'm hard at work in my New Endeavor! I didn't tell him the reason I wanted a change.  None of us Izzy Elves likes to make S.C. sad because we love him so much.  Besides, he's much more fun when he's jolly.  We don't like to hurt his feelings by letting him know we are unhappy.  So I just told him I wanted a change, and that was fine with him.  Goodbye dollies!

I'm not going to tell you what I am making these days, but you won't guess in a million years!  It is a bit of adjustment to be painting lightning bolts and flames and (even) skulls instead of curling and braiding dolly coiffures!

But so far, I haven't gotten the LEAST BIT attached to these new toys, and I am quite sure that I won't be upset when they are loaded onto Santa's sleigh.  No more S.A.D. for me! (That's Seasonal Affection Distress, in case you're wondering.  Dizzy called it a Disorder, but I prefer the word Distress, FYI.)

Meanwhile, Bizzy is hard at work doing something called Market Research on the toys I am making. I hope that kids like what I'm doing!  I'll keep you posted!

Love,

Frizzy

Psst! Have you heard the latest about Bizzy???

Bizzy just told me that he has been "reassigned" and will be doing Market Research instead of overseeing (so-called) the Izzy Elf Workshop.  Hooray! Maybe he will stop being such a BOSSYPANTS.  I mean, I like the guy, but don't we all hate it when he keeps trying to tell us what to do?

We can only hope that Market Research is not something he will be doing INSIDE our workshop.

THANK YOU, SANTA!!!

Cheers,

Tizzy

P.S. Does anyone know what's going on with Frizzy?

So Excited About My New Assignment (Whatever It Is)!

Santa just called me in for a meeting, and told me he wants me to start doing Market Research.  Hmmm.  Don't know what that is, exactly, but I'm thrilled to have something new to do!  All the other Izzies seem happy for me, too. They keep slapping each other on the back! Meanwhile, when I went into S.C.'s office, Blizzy was coming out with a huge smile on her face.  I wonder what's going on with her!

Well, I'd better start learning what Market Research is, so I can do it properly!

Cheers,

Bizzy

A Peek at Dizzy Through His Elfascope!

Isn't this amazing?  An animated peek of my good friend, Dizzy, through his Elfascope!

Shayne Hood made it for us.

Here's how Deedy described Dizzy's Elfascope in BLIZZY, THE WORRYWART ELF (© 2013 by Dorothea Jensen):

You look through this end and then through the far side
Whatever you gaze at appears, multiplied!”
He gave it to Blizzy, who looked through, one-eyed
And saw many Dizzies, all grinning, inside.

Dizzy has been a Tremendous Help to me, helping me make a Plan!  I talk to Santa about it today.  I

hope he agrees. I think my New Venture will cheer me up so much.  Hope so. Thanks for being my sounding board, dear Dizzy.  ✂  Frizzy

Please Don't Tell Bizzy!

Are you there, Blizzy?  I asked you to meet me here so we can talk about Bizzy's offer to "manage" my story. We all know that Bizzy is a TERRIBLE manager. (I heard Dizzy say once that Bizzy couldn't manage himself out of a paper bag full of peppermints! And Everybody agreed!)

How can I tell him I don't want him to "manage" my literary career without hurting his feelings?

Your friend, Tizzy

Hmm.  This IS a dilemma! On the other hand, if Bizzy starts trying to "manage" your literary career, he would be so bad at it that probably no one would even notice.

Your Girlfriend, Blizzy

Yes, but what if he starts tweeting or blogging (not here - he never seems to come to this blog) about my story in such a way that it sounds like terribly exaggerated BRAGGING!  That would be SO EMBARRASSING.  Blizzy, please think about the best way for me to tell him I don't want him to manage me. (I'll meet you back here tomorrow.)

Your friend, Tizzy

P.S. We could also meet at http://www.dorotheajensen.com/ (Deedy's website). She probably wouldn't mind, and Bizzy would never look there for us!

Now You Can See Me Wink!

Those of you who have actually read Tizzy, the Chrismas Shelf Elf  or Blizzy, the Worrywart Elf  know that at the end of each story, I look out at the two boys who (spoiler alert) helped me get back to my pals at the Pole and I give them each a "significant wink". Now Deedy's clever illustrator, Shayne Hood, has made a sort of movie of me doing just that! Is this cool or what! (See below.)

Meanwhile, great reviews of Tizzy, the Christmas Shelf Elf keep pouring in! I don't like to brag (well, maybe I do a little) but here's what one reviewer said:

"This book is fun to read - a big deal for the parent doing the reading - and adds some extra magic to the Christmas concepts of elves, Santa, toys, and tinsel - while setting all of it in the modern day!"

I just love it when people write things like this about my story!

Meanwhile, there is a bit of a mystery going on in the Izzy Elves Section of the North Pole.  Someone keeps doing anonymous tweets about Dizzy.  How he's ADORABLE etc. Who on earth can be writing this stuff??? Blizzy says she isn't, and I'm certainly not.  I mean, he is my best friend and all, but ADORABLE?  Please.

Also, Deedy (our scribe) reports that all our stories are now available at Barnesandnoble.com as Nook books.  I do like the sound of that. Nook book. Nook book. Nook book. Isn't that fun to say?
She says they are also Kindle books. Not quite as poetic, but still a great way to read about us.

Don't forget, if you want to learn more about us Izzy Elves, go to Deedy's website: dorotheajensen.com.

Only 29 days until Christmas! (Quite a frenzy going at in our Workshop.)

Love,
Tizzy
