NO FAIR! Deedy didn't show OUR cups (which are way cooler)

Deedy (that's Dorothea Jensen to you) just posted her first video blog. While we always enjoy seeing her online (she doesn't get up here to the Izzy Elf Section of the North Pole very often in person), we must confess we are a little disappointed in what she decided to feature in this video blog.

If you look very, very carefully, you can see that on the shelf behind her are OUR cups, or at least those for Tizzy, Blizzy, Dizzy, and Frizzy. We really love those cups. But what did Deedy show???
A cup for her Other Kind of Book: A Buss from Lafayette.

As you know, we Izzy Elves are not Whiners as a rule, but we would like to go on record as saying that Deedy needs to show everybody OUR cups.

They hold coffee just as well as the one with that red-headed girl and Lafayette on it.

 So there.

We FINALLY Got Deedy's Attention! (It's about time.)

Deedy (that's Dorothea Jensen to you) has been neglecting us Izzy Elves shamefully for a long, LONG time.  She has been so involved with her Other Kind of Writing (A Buss from Lafayette, which is historical fiction for kids, whatever THAT is) she has pretty much ignored us completely!

We pointed out to her that she has not helped us post anything on our Elfblog for almost TWO MONTHS!!

She apologized for all this and said she would do better.  We'll see.

Anyway, we read through our blog posts and realized that we have not quite posted all of the Izzy Elves in Underbits Pix. (You might recall that these are sketches by Shayne Hood for a new project she and Deedy - and Dee Dee, actually - are doing.)

So here is another Elf in Underbits:  DIZZY!

As some of you know, Dizzy specializes in toys that surprise. Recently, however, he has SUPER-specialized in electronic toys.  (He's become very savvy in this type of thing.)

Those of you who have read his story, Dizzy, the Stowaway Elf, know that because of this skill he solved a big problem for Santa, which probably helped S.C. forgive him for stowing away on his sleigh on Christmas Eve. (Although Dizzy himself admits that a boy named Stuart figured out how to make the Virtual Reins work.)


In any case, we are happy that Deedy has finally seen fit to help us out on our blog.

Quizzy in her Modest Underbits!

QUIZZY!

As most of you know, Quizzy is the elf who makes picture and word puzzles and games.  Here's how Tizzy described her in Tizzy, the Christmas Shelf Elf:

Quizzy makes puzzles and games - quite a trick.
She turns them out cleverly. My, she is quick!

We Izzies have learned a little something about Quizzy from this sketch: she is EXTREMELY modest in her underbit selection.  IS THAT LONG UNDERWEAR??

Well, where we live (in the Izzy Elf Section of the North Pole) that is probably an excellent choice!

Maybe some other Izzies secretly wear long underwear, too!

Hmm, guess we'll have to wait for the rest of the sketches.

#4 Underbitted Izzy Elf!

H-e-e-e-re's Whizzy!

It always amuses us Izzies to see a picture of Whizzy in which he is holding still.  He is a rushing-around sort of elf, as you know.  It is alleged that he is the one who packed Tizzy in that bookshelf in the first place, because he was in too much of a hurry to check and make sure nothing was inside but books.

As Tizzy explains it:

There’s Whizzy, who rushes around, always scurries.  
He probably packed me, in one of his flurries. 

In the end (as you all know if you have read Tizzy, the Christmas Shelf Elf, not to mention Blizzy, the Worrywart Elf) Tizzy actually had quite a wonderful adventure and made two new friends, Owen and Alex.

So we guess that Whizzy's whipping around isn't so bad after all!





















(BTW: We think that Deedy - Dorothea Jensen to you - has kind of a soft spot for Whizzy because her nickname as a much younger person was"Speedy Deedy"!)

ANOTHER IZZY IN UNDERBITS!!

You might recall that we posted a picture of Frizzy in her underbits that was the start of a new project. Well, now we have sketches of ALL of us Izzies in our underbits.  (These pix are all quite modest and proper, we hasten to add.)  To make Frizzy feel less embarrassed about being posted without her usual tunic on, Deedy (Dorothea Jensen to you) has decided to post the sketches of all the rest of us!

Here's the first one:  BIZZY

(The rest of us are all quite amazed that Bizzy wears striped undershorts. He doesn't seem like the type!)

An Actual Television Interview! Woo hoo!

We Izzies are all very excited because our good friend, Deedy, (who is Dorothea Jensen to you) has done a short little television interview.

We've been playing it over and over here at the Izzy Section.  We especially enjoy hearing how she got the idea for writing about us elves in the first place.

Frizzy is very proud that her book, Frizzy, the S.A.D. Elf, is featured in this interview.  That's because her story won a Santa Choice Award.

We're all proud for her, of course.  Still, we were all delighted to hear Deedy mention all of our names, at least!
