Woo hoo! Here's Frizzy's Audiobook Excerpt!

Deedy just told me that the downloadable audiobook of 

my story will be for sale by the end of next week!

 I'll let you all know when it hits the internet.

Frizzy's Audiobook Excerpt

Soon We'll Have New Audiobooks!

Deedy (that's Dorothea Jensen to you) tells us she is working very hard to release an audiobook of Frizzy's story and to update the audiobooks of the other three audiobooks.  In the new versions, there will be wonderful Christmas music! It is played by the Wise Women - Louisa, Ruth, Lucy, and Rowena Wise - all professional folk musicians in Australia.

These audiobooks will soon be available as both downloads (from Amazon.com, Audible.com, and iTunes) and as CDs. We Izzies love listening to Deedy read our stories.  She says she pretends that she is reading them to her six grandboys, but we know she is really reading them to us.

Meanwhile, Deedy has been trying to figure out how to post samples from each of our stories on our website, IzzyElves.com.  We've helped her search all over the internet trying to find out how to do this, but so far, no luck.  Even Dizzy, who is something of a whiz with electronics, hasn't been much help to Deedy. (Bizzy, who THINKS he is a whiz with the internet, definitely has been no help at all.) Meanwhile, Deedy just keeps saying "aargh!" (whatever that means).

Hooray for KKBC! (We Izzies love it!)

So we Izzy Elves have always been disappointed in the way our stories look as e-books.  When a reader can change the size of print etc., it can really make the rhyming text look very strange.

But Amazon has just released a new program called Kindle Kids' Book Creator.  It allows our books to show up with the print and the pictures staying where they are supposed to be.  Now we look as good on the electronic screen as we do in real life!

And wait, wait! There's more.  Now if a reader double clicks on a page, a pop up appears with a fun question about the story and about us.  Deedy will be putting all the answers to these questions on our IzzyElves.com website for us. She's been hanging around quizzing us about what questions to ask and what the answers should be. She is busily converting all four of our stories (Tizzy, the Christmas Shelf Elf; Blizzy, the Worrywart Elf; Dizzy, the Stowaway Elf; and Frizzy, the S.A.D. Elf) into KKBC books.

This is SO EXCITING!

 All eight of us Izzy Elves have been working inside the internet to build our own website.  We're not quite done yet - a few more bits to hammer in there - but it's worth a peek to see what it's going to be like.

We're pretty proud of it. So is Deedy. (We try to include her in things as much as we can, even though technically she is NOT an Izzy Elf.)

We Izzies are very excited about this, and can hardly wait to see it. Deedy says she will put it right here in our IzzyElfBlog when it is finished.  If she can figure out how to do it.

But meanwhile we are all puzzling over the fact that a trailer is NOT something that trails behind something else, but comes BEFORE it.

We're not really worried, you understand, but this picture comes the closest to showing how we feel. It was created by Shayne Hood for Blizzy's  story: Blizzy, the Worrywart Elf. We really were worried when that picture was painted. Not like now. We're just confused. Really.
